Why does my redneck neighbor like to sit on his roof with his shotgun every night?

He gets home from his construction job and while his kids and wife are doing stuff, he goes up there and sits in a fold out chair with his shotgun and just looks around! I think its the funniest craziest thing ever. So I did ask him and he didn’t want to talk about it. I wonder why anyone would do that? Should I take my remote control helicopter and fly it up and attack him?
