Repairing cracks in a knock down ceiling texture?
We had a kitchen remodel with new ceiling sections and a knock down texture over the ceiling. A leak in the roof got through the ceiling along the the sheetrock seams creating a ***** and ‘flat’ texture down the seam. Does anyone know how to repair this by texturing over the seam? Do I have to re-texture the whole ceiling? Can I do a new knockdown texture over the old one? Thanks!

First fix the leak, then use PVA adhesive in a small medical syringe with a needle to inject the PVA into the gap or *****. This will be suitable to fix the texturing and to stop it falling away and with a bit of careful work, you can simulate the pattern of the texture with the PVA.
