How do I stop seagulls banging on our flat roof?

We’ve recently had a dormer loft conversion for our new master bedroom, only we keep being woken by seagulls thumping on it early in the morning. What can we do to deter them from using our roof for what sounds like severe beak banging!!!!

Hang reflective streamers or a whirligig to startle them, like a scarecrow, or in this case a scaregull.

we live in a city that has a pigeon problem they are every where leaving there droppings where ever they please,this is what a friend that works at a zoo suggested to scare them off and it worked. she had us buy statues of owls about 16” to 24” tall to our surprise they don’t land or even come close to the house any more.
