I have some drywall that got wet. What is the best way to patch or repair it?
It’s in my ceiling, and the roof has been repaired, but some of the drywall for wet and has bulged the paint. I am hoping to not have to cut out the whole panel and rehang the ceiling, but is there a good or quick way to repair, patch, or otherwise deal with this?

It is BEST to remove the damaged drywall and replace it. You can dry it out with heat and venitlation, then sand it and refinish it. However I recommend replacing it.
These days Mold can grow on the drywall easily because of the paper. (Bleach and vinegar mixed can kill the mold) While mold is NOT TOXIC, alot of people are allergic to it.

Go to the paint store and ask for help to resolve this problem. The product contains alcohol and is easy to apply to your drywall. You will have to have adequate ventiation. After following recommended instructions, you can then paint your ceiling to the matching color. We did this to our home. Works great. I dont know the name of the product but it is available at the paint store. Just tell them to remove mildrew and wet spot. they know what you want.

The best repair is to replace the damaged section of your ceiling.
Ascertain the location of the ceiling joists surrounding the damaged area and remove the damaged drywall up to the joists. Cut a new piece of drywall to fit the removed bit and ***** in place. Apply joint tape over joints and apply base coat. Let dry then apply second coat, allow to dry then apply third coat feathering it out across the existing drywall so that no bumps can be seen. Wait 24hrs then sand it back with a open weave (mesh) pad. Then apply paint.
