We live in apartment with 8 units. We had a flat roof but It was in bad shape. The landlords decided to put a regular slanted roof up, and began I’d have to say a month ago. There is only him and his hired man doing this project. Since the begining of this project, of course it has rained a lot and there are lots of old wounds that have reopened in the ceiling, causing all of us to scramble for towels and then battle for the washer and dryer available to keep up with this mess. Is there a time limit the landlords should have to carry on such a project. This is just beyond getting old

My roof decking does not meet the fascia, thusly there are gaps where a rodent can get in. A roofer said this isn’t a problem because most rats, squirrels, etc. would have a difficult time lifting up the shingles to get into the openning and thusly the attic. But as we know, rodents can slip into the smallest of openings. It didn’t make me feel better but he said at least half of all homes, the decking doesn’t meet the fascia. At first, I asked about flashing my roof line to cover up the holes, but since I have gutters, he recommended that I put gutter screens. He said it would accomplish the same thing as flashing by covering up the gap and it would keep the rodents above the roof line and not give them a craddle, that being the gutter to sit in. Any one familiar with gutter screens or is flashing the better option. Either way, it will be pricey.

All that maintenance does is put buckets under the leaks. The floors are marble and several people have slipped on wet floors.

there is a leak in my roof but i cant seem to find the source. i’ve tared up alot of my roof attempting to find the leak but i havent found it. can you help me.

in italian its called “shed”, i wonder if its the same in english (but as far as i know shed is only a wooden construction)
